88 SCOTT STREET

Toronto, ON

Scott Street is a mixed use 58 storey condominium with a residential tower above a commercial office podium with retail/service uses at grade. The design and program of the public realm was guided by the character of the St.Lawrence Market neighbourhood and the Financial District, which the site straddles, and a public consultation process.

The streetscape design includes St.Lawrence Market signature paving on all frontages applied from curb to building face. High quality materials, including black granite paving and wall cladding, emphasize important gateways into the building and complement landmark facades. A single row of large shade trees line two of the three street frontages providing a shaded area to walk and a smooth transition to the adjacent Berczy park.

The south-facing amenity roof terrace interacts with greenery of the Park below - the terrace providing a spectacular overview of the park, and the park offering a spectacular view of the terrace. The terrace features ipe wood decking, a large glass and steel shade pavilion, a wide polished black granite and steel gas fireplace, BBQ stations with serving counters, an exercise patio associated with interior pool and fitness facility, and lush plantings. On the north side of the amenity terrace are two large private roof terraces that are designed with similar facilities. Extensive green roofs cover level 2 and level 7 of the building.
